Personal & Sport Specific Training
Athletic performance requires a solid foundation of strength, power and endurance. The Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) at DHP tailor each program to fit the distinctive needs of each athlete to develop the unique blend of characteristics required to ensure success.
From basic skill acquisition to advanced motor program development, each athlete is challenged in a progressive manner to optimize results and minimize risk using the A B C’s of sport.
Using the latest research to develop these pillars of athletic performance allows the DHP team to safely progress the athlete from complex motor programs to the skill execution required for improved sporting function.
Appropriate application of no nonsense training principles ensures systematic improvements to maximize gains.
Orthopaedic braces helps to protect, stabilize, support and correct injuries or abnormal alignment through the process of rehabilitation and recovery.
They are used in injury rehabilitation, injury prevention, osteoarthritic care, post-operative care and more. We recommend the best brace for you and your daily activities.
- Knee braces, ankle braces
- Wrist braces, thumb and hand splints

Functional Movement Screen
The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score used to target problems and track progress. This scoring system is directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically sound movement patterns.
At DHP, the FMS testing is incorporated into patient care as well as team training. It creates a functional baseline to mark progress and identifies exercises that will be most effective to help athletes and teams achieve optimal performance.
Gait Analysis is the systematic study of human motion — measuring body movements, body mechanics and the activity of the muscles.
Our skilled practitioners will take the time, with the use of video analysis, to evaluate your gait cycle. Your running stride and gait cycle can be broken down and improved to increase efficiency, reduce risk of injury or re-injury, and give you the necessary tools to reach the next level.
Golf Injury Rehabilitation
Our skilled practitioners are certified by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and follow this model to assess and treat golf injuries. The TPI golf fitness screen is ideal for golfers looking to increase distance, overcome persistent swing faults, and improve their game.
Injury diagnosis begins with a TPI medical assessment - a series of screens that identify a golfers range of motion, strength, flexibility, posture, balance and coordination as they relate to golf.
Once our team identifies a golfer's functional limitations, we have an understanding of how these will predispose the player to injury and develop a personalized program to help achieve optimal performance.
