Today's Fitness Friday features Hinged L's for shoulder stability.
About Upper Hinged L's
Hinged L's are an upper body movement focusing on the shoulders and upper back, designed to improve stability.
Hinged L's help prevent and treat shoulder injury by improving stability and strength in the muscles around the joint.
- Start with your chest and upper body resting against a bench, squeeze your shoulder blades so your shoulders are not hunched forward
- Bend your elbows so they form a 90-degree angle at the shoulder, with your thumbs facing behind you, slowly rotate the arms back. Remember it’s a small movement and don’t force the rotation.
- Slowly come back to the starting position and repeat.
