About Skipping Rope

Skipping rope is a highly effective lower body plyometric exercise.


An effective exercise to help develop cardiovascular capacity, skipping rope is a great tool to be used to add to your cardio routine or as a warm up for your workout.  The single leg version of skipping can still be used as a warm up. To get an even greater benefit, use this lower body plyometric exercise to work on single leg power and ankle stability.

  2. Stay on the balls of your feet.
  3. Always keep a slight bend in the knees. Never land straight-legged..
