About the Dumbbell Deadlift

The Dumbbell Deadlift is an effective  exercise targeting the lower body and is designed to build hamstring & glutes strength, extend your hips and strengthen the core.


The Dumbbell Deadlift targets and strengthens your hamstrings & glutes while improving your hinge pattern.

Written Instructions

  1. Hold one dumbbell in each hand and begin by standing straight.
  2. Drive both hips backwards and allow your arms to slide down approximately one inch away from your thighs.
  3. Once you feel tension in the hamstrings (above knee level), squeeze your butt and drive your hips forward to return to a standing position.
  4. Repeat.
