About Shoulder Setting

Setting or positioning the shoulder blade or scapula correctly not only helps improve shoulder pain and movement but also helps reduce tension and neck pain.


Shoulder Setting improves scapular control to assist with shoulder placement when completing upper body exercises for athletes and individuals who play football, softball and volleyball.

Written Instructions

  1. Lay on your back with your hands up towards the sky.
  2. Punch both arms up.
  3. From the shoulder, rotate your hands inwards then outwards.
  4. Return your hands to a neutral position and allow your shoulders to retract.
  5. Repeat.
