About Lateral Raises

Lateral Raises are an isolation exercise that strengthens the entire shoulder with an emphasis on the sides of the deltoid muscles.


This exercise helps increase lateral shoulder strength and is effective in strengthening the muscles in your upper back.

Written Instructions

  1. Start by holding a dumbbell on either side of your body.
  2. Raise the weights up to the sides, with palms facing downward and elbows slightly bent.
  3. Slowly lower the weights to return to the starting position.
