Daniel gives the thumbs up on Lateral Monster Walks that is an effective exercise for individuals who are having issues due to poor activation or weakness of the glutes.  Poor activation can lead to a number of ailments in many different body parts including knees, hips and even the back.

Benefits

Monster Walks strengthen the lower body with an emphasis on lateral hip stability.

Written Instructions

  1. Place a band around your knees so you feel enough tension when your feet are shoulder width apart.
  2. Start in a hinged position.
  3. While holding the hinged position, begin taking a steps directly to the side.
  4. Turn and repeat stepping out with the opposite leg to return to your original position.
