About Compass Lunges

Compass Lunges is a lower extremity strengthening exercise that provides a unique stretch for a variety of areas.

Benefits

Compass Lunges includes front, lateral and reverse lunges that help build strength targeting your abdominals, back muscles, glutes, quadriceps and hamstrings.

Written Instructions

  1. Front Lunge: Step forward and bend both knees to a 90degree angle. Return to start position, standing tall
  2. Lateral Lunge: Step out to the side and bend your knee to ninety degrees keeping your other leg straight. Return to start position, standing tall
  3. Reverse Lunge: Step one leg back and bend both knees to 90degrees. Return to start position, standing tall.
  4. For all directions ensure your knees do not touch the ground and you have a slight hinge into your hips at the bottom of the movement
